Top Ticket Items in FDIC’s April 2018 Enforcement List
Of the 35 enforcement orders released by the FDIC for April 2018, four included civil money penalties. What were the money penalty-inducing violations? One was for a pattern of flood insurance violations, one was for masking lending losses, another was for understating the allowance for loan and lease losses, and the largest ticket item ($140,000) was for paying the personal expenditures of the President/CEO without disclosure or authorization.
