Senate Banking Committee At Odds Over CFPB Auto Lending CRA
U.S. Senate Banking Committee's two most powerful members went at it over the Congressional Review Act S.J. Res. 57 that aims to repeal the CFPB's Indirect Auto Lending Guidance. As would be expected, Chairman Sen. Crapo, the majority leader, was a strong advocate for repeal with Minority Leader Sen. Brown strongly urging that the guidance aimed at protecting minorities and promoting fair lending remain. [4/19/18]
