SEC and FDIC Propose Dodd-Frank Broker-Dealer Resolution Rules
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) established proposed rules which would implement provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act and permit the FDIC and SIPC to manage the orderly liquidation of certain large brokers and dealers. Comments regarding this proposed rule may be submitted until May 2016. [4/8/16]
