Regions Bank agreed to a $52.4 million settlement for inadequate adherence to FHA insurance program requirements and lack of quality control from 2006 through 2011 that should have been detected as part of FHA's Early Payment Default guidelines. The settlement keys on a number of deficiencies cited and requires stricter compliance with program underwriting requirements and monitoring. [9/14/16]
