PHH Seeks to Even the Score with a Supplemental Response
The CFPB has filed its response to the D.C. Circuit Court's ruling that found the single-director-removable-only-for-cause structure of the CFPB unconstitutional. So did PHH. Now the Justice Department is getting in on the act with its own filing, so PHH has petitioned the court to file a supplemental response. "The United States government has now had two rounds of briefing and takes two separate positions in this Court," and PHH is seeking an opportunity to be heard on the newly expressed views.
