The OCC issued its latest quarterly report on mortgage performance that indicates continued improvement. Foreclosures dropped 15.9% from the end of 2014 with 94.1% of all mortgages performing as agreed compared to 93.9% for the previous quarter. Loss mitigation actions correspondingly have dropped with 35,118 mortgage modifications initiated in the 4th quarter of 2015 compared to 73,395 a year earlier for the same period. [3/30/16]
