Money Transfer Complaints: What’s the Beef?

Money transfer complaints got some attention in the CFPB's most recent consumer complaint report. Money transfer fraudsters were a frequent complaint, such as when a perpetrator would ask for a money transfer to help a family member in need, but the CFPB acknowledges that the fraud, rather than the money transfer itself, is the culprit. But other complaints had to do with the money transfer never reaching the intended recipient, the amount received was smaller than expected, or the transfer was delayed. [12/24/15]
