Mnuchin to Lenders: Cut Some Slack for Federal Employees Impacted by Shutdown
Treasury Secretary says the administration is doing everything it can, "consistent with the law," to alleviate the effects of the shutdown, and that it "applauds the actions of mortgage lenders, mortgage servicers, and other financial institutions, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that are taking steps to assist individuals experiencing temporary financial difficulties due to the government shutdown."
