McWatters to Congress: Regulatory Flexibility = Better Service
Testifying before the Senate Banking Committee, NCUA acting chairman Mark McWatters recommended that Congress support the agency's efforts to ease the regulatory burden on credit unions by tailoring and simplifying legislation. Doing this, he says, would "help mitigate the costs and administrative burdens imposed on smaller institutions," and make credit unions better able to serve their members. [6/23/17]
