House Wants to Hem In HMDA
The House passed a measure that would stop agencies from assessing penalties on data collected in 2018 and reported in 2019. What's more, it would exempt lenders that originate fewer than 500 closed-end mortgage loans and fewer than 500 open-end lines of credit in each of the two preceding years from reporting.
