HMDA Reporting Thresholds Raised
The CFPB has raised the reporting threshold for collecting and reporting data of closed-end mortgage loans from 25 to 100 loans effective July 1, 2020. The threshold for open-end lines of credit is both rising and falling to 200 (rising from the 100 it had been originally, falling from the 500 it had been temporarily raised to in October 2019 – it's complicated). The open-end threshold change goes into effect Jan. 1, 2022. [4/17/20]
