The Federal Trade Commission recently obtained a court order to halt an Aurora, Illinois debt collection scam. The debt collection agency, located in a western suburb of Chicago, was using intimidation tactics to trick consumers to pay loan debts they either did not owe, or did not owe to that particular company.
