Flurry of Activity at CFPB
The CFPB, which is still under Cordray's direction, has been busy. It issued official approval of the Uniform Residential Loan Application to include a question about a mortgage applicant's language preference, sent letters to bank CEOs encouraging more consumer control over payment methods, fined Xerox $1.1 million for sending incorrect consumer information to credit reporting agencies, and warned veterans about official-looking refinancing offers that sound too good to be true.
