Fed Hits Chinese Bank Operating in New York for AML Deficiencies
The Fed has issued an enforcement order with Agricultural Bank of China and its New York branch for what it calls "significant deficiencies" in its anti-money laundering compliance. The bank has 60 days to submit its plan to fix things. It's order includes a 6-month look-back project initially, with the possibility of additional time periods based on what is found in the initial time period. [9/30/16]
