
Dorian About to Dish Out Some Tough Lessons
For the 59 counties that were under an evacuation order from Hurricane Dorian, the number of flood insurance policies that were in effect as of last week was about 509,000, compared to 734,000 in 2011. There tends to be a big spike after a big flood event, then "flood amnesia" sets in and people put their money in other things. [9/11/19]
