Credit union organizations wrote a joint letter to representatives supporting legislation that would repeal the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). The letter notes that a repeal of FATCA would "put a stop to the law’s increasing regulatory burdens on U.S. credit unions and banks." The bill will be discussed at a hearing later this afternoon.
