Bad Day in Omaha: Credit Card Add-on Products Cost Bank $32 Million
First National Bank of Omaha offered "Secure Credit" and "Payment Protection," add-on debt cancellation products, and "Privacy Guard" and "IdentitySecure," add-on credit monitoring products to roughly 257,000 consumers. CFPB says it used deceptive marketing to "lure consumers" and charged consumers for services they did not receive. OCC tacked on another $3 million. [8/26/16]
