In his testimony to the House yesterday, CFPB director Cordray stated that the bureau cannot exempt credit unions from all its rules. This was disputed by several representatives. In particular, Rep. Andy Barr noted the negative impact of the bureau's remittance rule on credit unions. [4/6/17]
