Connecticut Bank Gets FDIC’s Dubious Distinction Award
Of 72 FDIC-regulated banks whose CRA ratings were made public in May, only Laurel Road Bank in Darien, Connecticut received a less-than-satisfactory rating. Chief weaknesses included making a majority of its home mortgage and small business loans outside of its assessment area and a poor penetration of loans among individuals of different income levels and businesses of different sizes.
