CFPB Seeks to Tidy Up Complaint Database
The CFPB is going to try to make it more clear to consumers that the consumer complaint database is not a statistical sample of all consumers in the marketplace (just the complainers), make them aware of the resources that are readily available to answer common financial questions they may have, and making consumers aware that they can go directly to the company with their questions before escalating it to the CFPB complaint database.
