BSA Reporting Takes a Rare Public Bow
Due to the sensitive nature of Bank Secrecy Act reporting by financial institutions, usually little is heard about it. But if front line and BSA personnel never hear what can become of their work, it is easy for this important work to seem like a pointless exercise, which can lead to lapses in vigilance. Hence, FinCEN annually shares how BSA reporting by financial institutions has made an impact in the successful prosecution of criminals, terrorists, and other bad actors. Presented by Ken Agle of AdvisX, this is the first of three episodes of Risk Watch highlighting specific examples recognized by FinCEN. [6/19/19]
