As the OCC is the subject of a couple of lawsuits for its attempts to create a charter for fintech companies, the acting comptroller chose his words carefully, saying he thinks "it is a good idea that deserves the thorough analysis and the careful consideration" the OCC is giving it. The Conference of State Bank Supervisors fired back that the OCC's proposal lacks legal authority. [7/20/17]
